At Natrove, I’m keen to harness this curiosity by promoting hiking as a regular activity. This approach includes offering engaging experiences that draw people into the healing and rejuvenating embrace of nature. One activity provides visitors with a container to collect special stones from the mountains, allowing them to create personalized souvenirs and extending it to form deeper connections with their daily surroundings.

Beauty Plus & Air Brush

Sports Theme

This was a special theme based on summer and the upcoming Paris Olympics trend. I participated in discussions for the promotional content and designed various filter-related materials, including typography, the app event page for the App Store and Google Play, as well as in-app pop-ups.

In app Filter Pop-up

Designed typography and filter displays to align with each filter’s style and theme, while also applying localized content provided by the marketing team for global content release. An interesting lesson I learned was that Arabic is read from right to left, so I adapted the design layout accordingly to enhance legibility.

In the initial design phase, I experimented with various image-to-filter effects. Based on user preferences, I ultimately selected two character images for the homepage displays in Asia and the Americas, designing matching backgrounds and typography for each.
Crayon Filter

This was the part of my experience where I achieved the greatest market impact🌟 shout out to the success of our filter development team as well. I designed the homepage display content and visual language for the Crayon filter, which received the highest number of API calls—409,865—in just one week after launch.

The success of Crayon Filter led to the opportunity to expand the concept, and I created a pet-specific version, Crayon Paws, which maintained the filter’s popularity and attracted even more downloads.

Special Theme – Pride Month

Designed Pride Month-themed text stickers and rainbow animated backgrounds based on seasonal themes, showcasing both single and group application effects.

SEO Official Web Design

In addition to mobile design, I also contributed to the web design, specifically by revamping the Retouch Photo Editor’s product display page. This redesign aimed to help users gain a more intuitive understanding of the product’s features.

Gondola Optics, which takes its name from the Venetian rowing boat. They display a striking contrast between precise angular tips and a rounded midsection, yet the overall silhouette remains harmonious.

This project began with researching and designing a unique font set, which I then expanded to incorporate into various display contexts.

Extension Design

Expanded the type to incorporate into various display contexts. In applying the font to exhibition posters and merchandise, I experimented with integrating the distinctive visual languages of different artists into the original font, such as incorporating metallic elements for Hajime Sorayama’s work. My ultimate goal is to amplify and better convey the artists’ themes and ideas while retaining the core style and meaning of the font.

Type Design

The font visual expression was inspired by unique asymmetrical oar and traces left by the pause of a pen while writing. As the stroke weight shifts from heavy to thin, this typeface coupled with strength and gentleness in one form.

Exhibition Material Design

Applied typography in various forms for Pipilotti Rist’s exhibition, drawing from the exhibition’s visual language. To align more closely with Rist’s work, I experimented with glitch-type variations, echoing the theme of breaking clichés and exploring experimental methods.

The significant gap between school and the job market has always been a major concern for many senior students and new graduates. To address the challenges my peers and I are facing, I decided to delve into the pain points present during the job preparation phase and offer solutions based on our needs.
Problem Statement

Nowadays, as the level of education increases, more and more people are pursuing college studies. For most people, the goal after graduation is to find a suitable and enjoyable job using the skills acquired during their education. Still, getting ready for the job search can be pretty overwhelming. How to help new graduates better adapt to the transition from school to work?

Activity and event information is scattered, making it difficult for students to find what they need quickly, often resulting in missed opportunities or lack of preparation.

Time Management

Career-related courses often begin in junior or senior year, requiring students to plan carefully to integrate career preparations into their schedules.

Research

After doing the online research, I found that most people’s plan after graduation is to seek employment at a company first, and they feel anxious about it.

Interview 1 — Peers

Through surveys and interviews with peers and staff from my school's career center, I discovered that the main factors contributing to job search frustration are poor time management, a lack of understanding of market demands, insufficient awareness of opportunities, and fear prior to the actual job search.

We designed a unified platform for The Art Consortium LA to foster collaboration among non-profits and connect them in bringing impactful projects to life. This initiative aims to strengthen Los Angeles’ art community by empowering organizations to learn, grow, and amplify their impact, while cultivating a sustainable, long-term network for collective success.

This project was a group collaboration with Sabrina Chen and Victoria Ren.
Problem Statement

Los Angeles art nonprofits operate in a fragmented and independent manner, missing valuable opportunities for collaboration, resource-sharing, and visibility. Limited connections and information gaps further hinder their ability to build a sustainable and thriving art community. By establishing an interactive platform, these organizations can foster collaboration, enabling mutual support through resource exchange, shared assistance, and joint applications for government funding.

Digital technologies, now integral to urban life, bring challenges like increased energy use and pollution. Through this proposal, I aim to initiate a discussion on an elegant solution to the conflict between urban development and the ecological environment, offering a new perspective on energy use and waste.

Beauty Plus & Air Brush

Urban life is filled with distractions, making it difficult to find moments of clarity and restoration. Kairos is designed to support the physical and emotional well-being of urbanites, providing a seamless blend of nature and technology to enhance both work and relaxation. From brand strategy to product development, we crafted a transformative, multi-sensory experience that harnesses the restorative power of natural ingredients and immersive atmospheres—bringing balance back to urban living.

This project was a collaboration with Industrial Designer You Li.

Marketing Campaign

The term “Kairos” originates from ancient Greek, meaning the right or critical moment. Inspired by this concept, we redefined it as our brand name, adding a deeper layer of meaning—quality time with yourself.

Website Design

Building on strategic research and the development of the brand’s visual language, the website design extends Kairos’ core values of nature and smart technology. Through layout, typography, color themes, and button design, every element reflects the brand identity while ensuring a cohesive and immersive shopping experience.

Products

After identifying our target users and needs, we designed two core products: a smart portable diffuser and a multi-sensory home pod, both tailored for quick state adjustment in urban life. The system tracks stress levels, delivering concise reports on high-stress periods while providing instant relief through natural essential oils, ambient calming light, and guided restoration techniques. It also offers personalized recommendations—like suggesting a “Run in Nature”, to encourage a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.

Brand Strategy

Through in-depth research, we defined the core challenges, identified target customer archetypes, and mapped out strategic positioning to uncover key opportunities. By analyzing competitors using brand positioning frameworks and the ERRC grid, we refined our unique value proposition. Leveraging “What-If” opportunities, we established a distinct set of brand attributes, which became the foundation for Kairos’ development and identity.
